Art in the home.

I am delighted to have work hanging in many `grand design’ contemporary and beautiful homes around the UK and abroad. I have enjoyed seeing their impact, and  I'm excited for you to witness this, too.

A large painting can elevate the appearance and enhance the atmosphere of a home, providing the occupants with a greater, more vibrant and engaging home experience. Abstract expressionism is my most significant artistic influence, and from an interior design perspective, 'more is more'; my paintings and my ethos are maximalist.

Extraordinary artwork that can lift you up and tantalisingly export you to somewhere magical. Tracy is the best-kept secret in art. Her paintings excite your senses and bring colour and expression into your life.

I work from my studio in Dallinghoo, a charming village in Suffolk, UK. I paint on large canvas or boards and create with various mediums. Traditional oil paints are my favourite medium. However, I experiment with different materials to discover and keep open to new ways to further develop my art practice to translate my subject  (the mind).

I am currently working on an exciting series of heavily textured paintings.  I'm also enchanted by the effects of UV lighting when using fluorescent paint. Some of my paintings, which use this paint, hold a magical night-time secret: a real wow factor: they will light up your environment. Check out my videos on my home page.

I often paint a floating mass of entangled lines, moving shapes and swirling strokes in space. I use this visual imagery to describe the essence of our mind. With our thoughts, emotions and behaviours, the mind is a compellingly complicated and beautiful subject. I am thrilled when viewers resonate with the desire to investigate and better understand themselves. Mindfulness is a great way to achieve this understanding; many paintings centre around this practice. I paint the mental state of being at peace, caught in that moment. I also paint the mental state of being in the monkey mind. These states are bound as one, never far from each other's side. This invisible energy is the subject I love and need to paint. You may be curious: why do I paint a visual imagery of what is 'in' me and not the beauty I see 'around' me? There are so many personal reasons why I am fascinated by the human mind and the practice of self-inquiry. The most significant reason is that I passionately believe in treating the world and its inhabitants kindly and compassionately. I believe in being aware of ourselves, looking closely at our feelings and how they result in our actions and behaviours. Where are they causing suffering? By being more conscious, we could create a kinder and more caring world. Words by the Buddhist monk Robina Courtin, "We spend our lives being seduced by the outside world, believing that happiness and suffering come from 'out there'. In reality, they come from the way we perceive and interpret things not the things themselves. This deeply held misconception is at the root of our dissatisfaction, self doubt, anger, depression, anxiety, etc. But our minds can change. By becoming deeply familiar with the workings of our cognitive processes through introspection and learning to deconstruct them, truly, being our own therapists, we can loosen the grip of these neuroses and grow our marvellous potential for contentment, clarity, and courage, which are at the core of our being".
